Work Experience: Payroll Processing Clerk
- acting as Payroll Coordinator -
- Manage semi-monthly payroll for approximately 400 active employees using UKG, ensuring timesheet accuracy, processing check requests, and facilitating timely payments to all faculty and staff.
- Perform detailed audits, reconciliations, and adjustments for payroll liabilities, faculty contracts, and General Ledger entries.
- Oversee employee records, health and benefits enrollment, and premium payments in line with legal regulations.
- Administer PTO policies, benefits reconciliation, tax withholdings, and particular calculations.
- Coordinate communications and respond to inquiries from employees and their managers regarding payroll and timekeeping.
- Conduct annual and quarterly W-2 audits and reports.
About me and my graduation
My Family
As an international undergraduate student, I navigated a demanding schedule, balancing academics, leadership roles in the Student Government Association and International Student Programs, competing in two sports, and working as an Admissions Assistant. Despite several competing priorities, I graduated as the Valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA.

In my senior year at HIU, I collaborated closely with a teammate in the "Strategy & Policy" capstone course to achieve the #8 global ranking in the Glo-Bus business strategy simulation, the highest placement ever attained by HIU students. Competing against hundreds of schools and thousands of students worldwide, our approach combined detailed analysis with innovative solutions. This accomplishment, which earned recognition as a "Global Top 100 Company," was not only an outstanding success but a reflection of our synergy and the power of two minds working together. This experience refined my strategic insights and underlined the significance of teamwork. Most importantly, it prepared me to embrace and enhance a collaborative culture at a University and in my future job.
